This 1987 American Silver Eagle, graded MS69 by NGC, features the iconic Walking Liberty design by Adolph A. Weinman. The obverse showcases Liberty walking with the sun rising behind her, accompanied by the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year 1987, with the engraver's initials AAW. The reverse, designed by John M. Mercanti, displays a heraldic eagle with a shield, holding arrows and an olive branch, with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and 1 OZ. FINE SILVER~ONE DOLLAR. The coin is made of 1 ounce of fine silver and is encapsulated in an NGC protective slab for preservation.
