<B>1984-S 50C Kennedy Half--Double Struck in Collar--PR62 PCGS.</B></I> A remarkable proof half dollar error from the Orwellian year of 1984. Technically, all modern proofs are double struck in collar. This piece is special, however, since the obverse (hammer) die rotated <B>nearly 90 degrees</B></I> counterclockwise between blows from the die. The reverse (anvil) die remained fixed between strikes. Presumably, the hammer die was very loose.
