1981-83 Cal Ripken, Jr. Game Used Bat. Spectacular signature model Louisville Slugger M159 dates to the earliest seasons of the Iron Man's Hall of Fame career, used with a reasonable degree of possibility during his historic Rookie of the Year campaign. Note the absence of the "Jr." in Ripken's autograph, an attribute found only in his earliest models. Light use is readily evident, with a handle crack (since repaired) signaling its demise. An application of pine tar is in evidence upon the handle, and Ripken's number "8" is applied in vintage marker to the knob end. It must be noted that some pine tar was applied during the repair process, subsequent to Ripken's use. The length of thirty-four and three-quarter inches and weight of thirty-four and half ounces are both proper for young Cal's specifications. A special early bat from one of the game's most significant careers, graded GU6. LOA from Taube & Malta.

Shipping: Bats, Clubs, Sticks, Swords, Rif (view shipping information)
