<B>1980's Roger Maris Single Signed Baseball, PSA NM-MT 8.</B></I> "Roger Maris was as good a man and as good a ballplayer as there ever was," Mickey Mantle once said. But there's no question that the hero of the 1961 home run chase never received the respect he deserved, and this fact, paired with his early death in 1985, has left his autograph in rather short supply. This is particularly true for single signed baseballs, so we're pleased to present one here, penned on a souvenir 1982 St. Louis Cardinals baseball. The autograph is quite bold and unmistakable, with just a slight bit of hazing as the result of the bleeding of the blue sharpie. Minor condition issues must be forgiven in light of the scarcity of Maris singles, however, and we suspect the bidding public will agree. Both the autograph and the baseball itself have been designated NM-MT 8 by PSA/DNA, resulting in the combined score as listed. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA for protection and unquestioned authenticity.
