Here are some additional details about the Yokoo: This Rare Poster was made for the 16th Exhibition of the Japan Advertising Club. This Lithograph from the world famous Yokoo is a very Colorful collage marked by numbers indicating the different pieces that went into the design. The paper Size measures 28 x 20.5 and was museum mounted on linen.About the Artist:Born at Nishiwaki-shi, Hyogo-ken in 1936. Won the Printmaking Prize at the 6th Youth's Biennial Exhibition, Paris in 1969 and many other prizes. Held an exhibition of his own works at the Museum of Modern Art, New York in 1972, thus earning a world-wide excellent reputation. Became a painter-turned-graphic designer in 1981. His graphic works were displayed at biennial exhibitions in Sao Paulo, Bangladesh, and Venice. Won the Mainichi Newspaper's Art Prize in 1995. Won a series of the Gold and Silver Prizes at the ADC, New York in 1996 to 99. Awarded the "ADC Hall of Fame" at New York in 2000, with his works exhibited at the magnificent repository of the fine arts. His works are now on exhibition at 80 art museums at home and abroad, for example at the Museum of Modern Art, New York and the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.
