1980 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging
1980 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging. The 1980 Mint Set saw the number of coins included rise to thirteen with the inclusion of the Susan B. Anthony Dollar struck at the San Francisco Mint. This marked the highest number of coins per set and also the first appearance of the “S” mint mark within the standard set since the 1974 Mint Set. This set include 1980-P & D Lincoln Cents, P & D Jefferson Nickels, P & D Roosevelt Dimes, P & D Washington Quarters, P & D Kennedy Halves, and P & D & S Susan B. Anthony Dollars. The six coins from the Philadelphia Mint were sealed within a plastic cellophane with a blue color on the side. The seven remaining coins from the Denver and San Francisco Mint were sealed within a separate cellophane with a red color. Placed between protective cardboard, the two cellophane packs were placed within a white envelope marked with the contents.
