Original color 15.25 x 23.25 poster for the 1980 Grande Parade du Jazz in Nice, France, signed in ballpoint by many of the performers, including Cootie Williams, Dizzy Gillespie, Nat Adderley, Dave Brubeck, Benny Carter, Doc Cheatham, Richie Cole, Kenny Garrett, Hank Jones, Howard Johnson, Joe Kennedy, Jr., Lloyd Lambert, Charles McPherson, Carmen McRae, Rose Murphy, Art Pepper, Nat Pierce, Oliver Shearer, David Young, and many more. In fine condition, with light overall wrinkling.

The Nice Jazz Festival, known as the ‘Grande Parade du Jazz’ during the 1970s and 1980s, was first held in 1948 and organized annually since 1971. It is considered the first jazz festival of international significance. Over the years it has attracted many of the genre’s top names as regular performers, including Louis Armstrong, Lionel Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Helen Humes, Herbie Hancock, and Miles Davis.
