1980 Framed Original New Mexico Church Painting by Ralph Bowyer, this church is Capilla de Santa Rita de Cascia, in Bernal, New Mexico, visual measures 5'' x 6.5'' and is on board, writing on the back of painting where it was presented as a gift on 5/2/80, FYI: ''Ralph Bowyer, who was All-Border Conference in both football and basketball at the University of New Mexico and coached Carlsbad High School to eight state championships in football, passed in 2005, just four days short of his 91st birthday. While Bowyer's accomplishments in the field of athletics are legendary, few knew he blazed a trail for civil rights in the early 1950s at Carlsbad. He and and his wife Mickey traveled around northern New Mexico where he took pictures of scenery and old churches. Bowyer, a gifted artist, used many of those for paintings he did. A 1991 story on Bowyer in the Journal noted he had sold 700 of his paintings.''
