Once struck, it is a random event whether the obverse or reverse will show the copper core. This piece lacks the obverse clad layer. The copper core has toned steel-blue, olive-brown, and cherry-red. The borders are softly defined, as expected from a too-thin planchet, but the major devices are well brought up.
