Signed by Jamie Reid, Sex Pistols 1977 ''God Save the Queen'' Virgin Records original full page NME Magazine ad for the campaign to promote the Sex Pistols controversial second single released on 27 May 1977. Designed by Jamie Reid, the anarchist artist who designed many of the band's controversial covers. Reid signs the ad at lower right, ''God Save us all / Jamie Reid''. Designed in various versions for the album that became known as the ''most heavily censored record in British history,'' this ad depicts a black and white Queen Elizabeth II with an emblematic fancy tea cup near her profile. With additional original gummed-back sticker also used as part of the promotional campaign. 4'' x 5.5'' sticker has tiny rip along bottom. Ad measures 10.5'' x 15.25'' on newspaper print. Chips measuring .5'' and .75'' along right edge. Some tape residue and one fold. Very good condition.
