<B>1976 Reggie Jackson Game Issued Jersey.</B></I> A million hearts in Oakland were broken when it was announced in the early spring of 1976 that this hard-hitting outfielder would end his nine-year tenure with the A's and head east to Baltimore. But had that trade never materialized, this is the green knit pullover that Reggie would have sported as a member of the '76 Athletics. White and yellow tackle twill "A's" appears over the heart, with "Jackson 9" sewn to verso. Triple tagging in tail reads, "1976, McAuliffe Uniform Corp., 40." Our authenticator notes that the size tagging is incorrect here, as the jersey does measure to a size "44," which is proper for Jackson. Losing the opportunity to serve its intended master, the jersey remains in pristine, unused condition.
