1976 All-Star Team Signed Baseballs (2) PSA/DNA
1976 American & National League All-Star Team Signed Baseballs with President Ford. Furthering the patriotic theme that saw the All-Star Game played in the city where the Declaration of Independence had been signed two centuries earlier, President Ford appeared at Veterans Stadium this year to launch the game's first pitch. Offered here is a pair of ONL (Feeney) balls signed at the event by the American and National League squads respectively, each also supplying an autograph from Jerry Ford himself. The A.L. ball remains in simply spectacular condition, most notably boasting a 10/10 blue ink signature from the game's starting catcher Thurman Munson. Other stars among the balance of twenty-eight 9+/10 autographs include Fingers, Carew, Lemon, Fisk, Hunter, Brett, Yastrzemski, Lynn, Tiant and more. A thin indented line barely nicks the tail end of the Munson signature, though this is mentioned purely for accuracy's sake and does not materially affect appearance. The National League ball drops a couple of points below its partner in signature quality, though all twenty-one are very easily legible and rate an average of 7/10. Noteworthy here are Schmidt, Seaver, Perez, Sparky Anderson, Griffey, Foster, and the year's Cy Young winner Randy Jones. President Ford's sweet spot signature, it should be noted, is lightly smudged. A terrific matched pair with no shortage of All-Star appeal. LOA from PSA/DNA.

Important notice: Heritage usually auctions material at the rate of 200-250 lots per hour. On some occasions eBay Live bid software or the Internet may not be able to keep up with the pace of the auction. We recommend placing a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Occasionally the auctioneer may eliminate or reject an eBay Live bid, and the auctioneer may also reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because we missed an audience bid), and may reject your bid even if it shows you as the winning bidder. By bidding via eBay Live, you agree that Heritage may award the lot to another bidder at its sole discretion under the circumstances described above or any other reasonable circumstances. Since eBay bids are not shown to us until we open the lot on the floor, we treat those bids just like floor bids. In most cases the floor responds before the eBay bid is presented to us, due to Internet lag time, so for consistency we have made it a policy that floor bids are always considered first over tie eBay live bids. Also please note that all Heritage lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 22.5% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions before you bid. This lot is being auctioned in conjunction with a live floor auction by Heritage Galleries & Auctioneers. All final auction and invoice information will be supplied by Heritage Galleries & Auctioneers, and all other information should be considered preliminary.
