(1976-1978) Gould Inc. Titanium MS65 NGC. Dies of Pollo
(1976-1978) Gould Inc. Titanium MS65 NGC. Dies of Pollock-5400, Baker-B707, R.7. 26.5mm. Plain edge. The Rulau reference states that Baker-B707 is sintered titanium, "golden colored." The present piece does have light gold color near the borders. Pollock lists five different alloys (Pollock-5400 to 5420), none of them titanium. Gould Inc. was among several private companies that worked with the U.S. Mint to replace the large Eisenhower Dollar with a smaller scale alternative. The present piece has a slightly grainy matte texture, as made, and the shimmering surfaces remain undisturbed.
