<B>1976 $1 Eisenhower Dollar, Type Two--Indented by Smaller Planchet--MS66 NGC.</B></I> The allure of this piece is due to the dramatic nature of the error as well as the wonderful condition of the host coin. NGC states on the label that this 1976 Type 2 Eisenhower dollar was indented by a "smaller planchet." Specifically, it appears that a blank nickel planchet (not included) entered the coining chamber at approximately the same time as the dollar flan. The result is a dramatic indent error which obliterates approximately 20% of the obverse between 1 o'clock and 3 o'clock.
