<B>1973 George Sosnak Baseball Artwork of Tim Keefe.</B></I> For the army of fans of this former umpire's charming folk art baseballs, we present his tribute to 19th century Hall of Famer Tim Keefe. It has been estimated that Sosnak made about 800 of these intricately designed baseballs in his lifetime, and his work is on display in such museums as the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and at the American Folk Museum in New York City. A marvelously simple portrait of Keefe if followed by paragraphs of painstakingly applied block lettering recounting the highlights of his Hall of Fame career. It must be seen to be truly appreciated. At the center of the text, Sosnak dedicates the ball to a deceased relative, making this an intensely personal piece for the celebrated artist.
