<B>1972-D $1 Eisenhower Dollar--Double Struck, Second Strike 25% Off Center--MS62 PCGS.</B></I> The first strike was normal, but the piece failed to eject from the dies, and was struck a second time, widely off center toward 9 o'clock. The second strike is at 10 o'clock relative to the first strike. The 72 in the date and the mintmark are present from both strikes, and much of Ike's profile from the first strike appears in ghostly form on the neck and jaw from the second strike.
