<B>1972-73 Bernie Parent Game Used Stick.</B></I> The NHL's first defector to the fledgling World Hockey Association, Bernie Parent played the league's first season as a goaltender for the Philadelphia Blazers. Parent served as one of the WHA's only stars and was forced to compete with the Philly hockey limelight with his former team, the Flyers. A lesser level of defensive ability in front of him caused Parent a ton of work in the goal that season, culminating in his return to NHL ice the following campaign. From Parent's only WHA season, 1972-73, we present this game-used Sher-Wood goalie stick with fine evidence of game use. Original taping at blade and handle remains in place, and the shaft has become cracked where it meets the blade. Heavy checking and divots pepper the back edge of the blade.
