1970s Orbiting Chrome Eyeball Table Lamp
Item/Description: Articulating and Orbiting Table Lamp from circa 1970, which embodies the Mid-Century Modern and Space Age design styles. The lamp is constructed with a solid, blackened steel cube-shaped base that provides stability, supporting a large, circular frame made of polished chrome-plated metal. Its key feature is a spherical "eyeball" light head that can traverse the circular frame and pivot 360 degrees, allowing the user to direct light exactly where needed. While many similar lamps are unmarked, this style is widely attributed to designers such as Robert Sonneman, George Kovacs, and Koch-Lowy.
