<B>1970's Roger Maris Signed Sosnak Folk Art Baseball.</B></I> Spectacular detail and simplistic charm characterize the highly collectible work of former umpire turned artist George Sosnak, who turns his attention here toward the fabled 1961 home run chase. Leaving a blank window for a vintage 4/10 blue ink signature from Maris to shine through, Sosnak coats the remainder of the sphere with practically microscopic handwriting listing the date, opponent and pitcher for all sixty-one of Maris' long balls, and portraits of Roger and final home run victim Tracy Stallard. One can't help but be impressed by the utterly unique result. The ball has been clear-coated for preservation, and a couple chips have obscured a small amount of the home run details. Otherwise the ball is free of flaws, presenting exactly as it did after Sosnak's hours of labor was complete. <I>LOA from PSA/DNA.</B></I>
