<B>1970-S 50C Kennedy Half--Double Struck in Collar--PR63 PCGS.</B></I> Proof Kennedy half dollars are normally struck at least twice. What makes the present piece special is that the obverse (hammer) die was loose, and rotated a couple of degrees clockwise between strikes. The reverse (anvil) die was stationary. The result is a normal reverse, while the obverse shows dramatic doubling, strongest on the peripheral legends.
