1970 Gilles Marotte/Bill White Game Worn Jersey
Circa Late-1960s Gilles Marotte/Bill White Game Worn Jersey. One of the most iconic pieces of hockey memorabilia remains the beautiful design of the Chicago Black Hawks. Here we present an often-sought style, worn both by Gilles Marotte and Bill White. The two were part of a trade between Chicago and the Los Angeles Kings that saw them swap teams. The rare one-year style jersey comes from the 1969-70 Chicago Black Hawks season, as evidenced by the "Gunzo's Berwyn, Ill." tag in the collar. Gunzo's used this tag for only one season as a 1970 fire forced them to move to River Forest, which is reflected on the tags of the later versions. The white home gamer is highlighted no doubt by the classic twill logo with hand-sewn detailings. Small light spots of blood are found throughout the chest and back area, and pronounced puckering to the logo and shoulder "2" twill identifiers is evident. Stick marks to the chest and the rear twill "2" also lend to the game use. General Athletic tag found in rear tail. Beautifully chain-stitched tomahawk logos found at either shoulder. While Marotte had the majority of the use of this garment with over 51 games logged, seven-year Black Hawk player and stint head coach Bill White played his first 21 games with the team in this shirt. A fine rarity with tremendous appeal. LOA from Rich Ellis.

Shipping: Clothing, Costumes & Jerseys (view shipping information)
