1969 "BLACK BUGALOO" BLACK POWER POSTER

Currency:USD Category:Collectibles Start Price:75.00 USD Estimated At:150.00 - 200.00 USD
1969 BLACK BUGALOO BLACK POWER POSTER
An amazing relic of an extreme arm of the Civil Rights movement, a 17" x 21" poster printed by "Jihad Productions" - clearly having a different significance back them - replete with inflammatory Black Panther-esque rhetoric most likely aimed to incite Black college students. The poster is titled "Black Bugaloo" and contains many expletive-laced calls to action. In small part: "...Stop singing jive ass songs of the dying Beast and honky idols. Sing destruction. Let the motherf-ckers burn...Send them screaming, bull-sh-t negro bureaucrats...Sing Black revolution. Preserve no dead things...Fanon lives. Garvey lives....Make Stepinfetchit into a revolutionary nationalist...Get back what they stole...Stop bitching...Remember Malcolm. F-ck those who would have you forget...SOCK IT TO 'EM". The poster also gives directions for a Molotov cocktail, poetry, and images of Black youth dancing. Wear and wrinkling to edges, tape repairs thereon, still very good and an example of its times.

Estimate: $150 - 200.
