<B>1967 First Ever Pittsburgh Pipers ABA Game Used Basketball.</B></I> Spectacular letter of provenance from the former equipment manager of the Pittsburgh Pipers attests that this heavily-used ball "...is one of the 1st 10 balls distributed to the Pittsburgh Pipers team for use during that Inaugural Season of 1967-68 and is the original ball used during the 1st ABA Game ever played by the ABA Champion Pittsburgh Pipers..." The equipment manager notes that he had initialed the ball before tip-off so as to be able to identify it later, though the tremendous wear on the ball from a year of game use, two years of practice use, and then years of storage in the equipment manager's garage. Nothing can diminish the tremendous historical relevance, however, of the ball from the earliest days of the storied league.
