1966 FRITZ WILLIS Topless Pin-Up Calendar Page - Brown & Bigelow
This is a vintage June, 1966 page from a Brown & Bigelow calendar featuring a risque pin-up print by Fritz Willis. SIZE: Approx. 9" x 12".

Willis handled ad work for Pepsi, Quality Papers, Max Factor, Purex, Sunkist, Crown Zellerbach, SpringMaid Sheets and others. He also did story work for Esquire, Saturday Evening Post, Redbook, and Collier's, and covers for Ice Follies programs from 1952-1969. In 1961, Willis received another important commission. Brown & Bigelow asked him to revamp their best-selling Artist's Sketch Pad calendar. He devised a fresh format and design for the calendar and, in the process, created the last of the great pin-up girls. His 15-year stint of Artists's Sketchbook and other calendars for Brown & Bigelow made him one of the last pin-up greats. The Willis Girl, though born in an age of rebellion, had the sophisticated air of the classic pin-up.
