1966-67 Carl Yastrzemski Game Worn Spikes. Heavily-worn pair of shoes was a gift to the Red Sox' spring training bat boy from the future Hall of Famer on the brink of his historic Triple Crown season. The included letter of provenance explains that the big kid wore the same size shoes (11) as Yaz, and was instructed to break in the slugger's new spikes for the 1967 regular season as he tended to his duties down in Florida. At the close of spring training, Yaz and the boy traded shoes, sending the excited youngster home with the black leather beauties worn for the 1966 regular season and March of 1967. Each is notated with an ancient "Yaz 8" in the tongue, with an unusual symbol above that we cannot decipher. A tremendously appealing offering of game used equipment dating to the beginning of one of the greatest single seasons in baseball history. LOA from Lou Lampson.

Shipping: Miscellaneous Collectibles, Larg (view shipping information)
