PHS documented 1965 GTO, 4-speed convertible. The car had a frame-off restoration in 2005 and has approx 2,000 miles since restoration. It has been stored in a temperature controlled environment at the Hangar in Santa Barbara. It has been painted the original Nightwatch Blue with a black top and interior. Equipped with power steering, power brakes and the original Safe-T-Track rear end with 3:23 gears. The interior options include an original-style wood wheel and a set of Rally gauges that are not reproduction. It also has a tilt steering column, center console, deluxe seat belts with rear retractors, AM Radio and new original-style floor mats. The new convertible top has a glass back window that is not plastic. The car has a 389cid V8 with a '66 Tri-Power installed. The engine is rebuilt to stock specs with a little higher hp camshaft. The engine has the correct "WT" Code on the block indicating a 335hp 4-barrel carb which is the original restored 4-barrel carb and manifold are included with the car. Mounted on top of the Tri-Power is a Ram Air pan and the original hood scoop is cut out to be functional. The ignition was upgraded with a Pertronix electronic system in the original distributor. The 4-speed transmission is an original Muncie and the shifter is a Hurst that was rebuilt by the Hurst shifter plant. The new original-style exhaust has splitters that are reproductions of the ones used in 1965. The car has an original set of 1965 Rally 1 wheels with original style set of trim rings, caps and lug nuts. All of the suspension components are new, new KYB shocks up front, all new bushings, steering box, etc.
