<B>1965 25C Washington Quarter--On a 90% Silver Planchet--AU55 NGC.</B></I> Breen-4416. 6.26 gm. Type Three reverse with leaftip touching the A in DOLLAR. The Mint struck 90% silver 1964 quarters and clad 1965 quarters simultaneously, possibly to prevent the appearance that silver coins were hoarded from circulation. Considering the billions struck, planchet mix-ups from this transitional period are surprisingly rare.
