<B>Undated (ca. 1964)<P25C> DuPont Detaclad Ingot.</B></I> An ingot of DuPont's "Explosion Bonded Detaclad" that was used to produce that company's experimental alloy trial pieces. The ingot measures 54 x 30 x 12 mm and has three layers. The layers appear to be brass, nickel, and bronze, but frankly, this is just a guess. The wording EXPLOSION BONDED DETACLAD is also seen on the few pattern coins produced by DuPont. Most likely a unique item. Accompanied by an envelope from Jules with the enigmatic notes: D-1 / group 2 / 5. Jules is cited as one of two persons, the other being Kenn Henderson, on page 447 of Pollock's reference who had information about these pieces.
