<B>1964 Orlando Cepeda Game Used Bat.</B></I> Factory ordering records for this Hillerich & Bradsby signature model O16 allow us to pinpoint the mailing date to March 18, 1964, the beginning of a sixth consecutive All-Star season for the Hall of Fame first baseman. Excellent use is evident throughout, with grain separation and ball and stitch marks coating the left and back barrel. It must be noted that the ghost of tape removal at the barrel suggests that the bat was used for at least part of its life in a batting practice capacity, until a handle crack (one-inch piece missing) brought an end to its usefulness. Length is thirty-five and a half inches, at a Ruthian weight of forty-one inches. Quality Cepeda gamers rarely surface, with just one or two offered at major auctions annually.
