<B>1964 10C SMS MS67 PCGS.</B></I> Proof and business strike 1964 dimes are common, but Special Mint Set examples are rare. Apparently, a small number of Special Mint Sets were produced in 1964 as prototypes of the large-scale production with that finish beginning in 1965. The SMS pieces are satiny to prooflike, but lack the deep mirror fields of the regular 1964 proofs. This well struck and nearly brilliant Superb Gem has immaculate, striated fields and lacks any hint of cameo contrast. Population: 13 in 67, 3 finer (6/07).<BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> John R.
