Presented is a 1963 Franklin Half Dollar certified by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) with a Mint State 64 designation. Struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, this final year issue of the Franklin series represents the culmination of a design motif that spans from 1948 to 1963, just prior to the introduction of the Kennedy Half Dollar. The obverse of this fifty cent piece features a right facing portrait of Benjamin Franklin, accompanied by the inscriptions "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the year of issue. The reverse showcases the Liberty Bell rendered in detailed relief, flanked by a diminutive eagle to the right, in accordance with the legal requirements of the denomination.
