1963 United States Franklin Half Dollar graded Mint State 65 (MS 65) by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). The obverse features a right-facing portrait of Benjamin Franklin designed by John R. Sinnock, with inscriptions including "LIBERTY" at the top, "IN GOD WE TRUST" below, and the date "1963" to the right of Franklin's bust. The reverse side displays the Liberty Bell, also designed by Sinnock and Gilroy Roberts, with inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and "HALF DOLLAR" along the rim. To the right of the Liberty Bell is a small eagle, included to satisfy legal requirements for half dollar designs.
