Serial #L10718. Original rare PRE-CBS shoreline gold metallic finish. The P-Bass was the 1st mass-produced commercially successful & best selling electric bass of all time. This 1963 P-Bass is a 1-owner PRE-CBS bass having a green guard on its body, clay dots & long stemmed reverse tuners on its neck. This bass was lovingly played for 45 years; shows wear but still has a lot of playtime left on its original frets. The 2 stackpole pots were changed in the 90's when used as a studio/recording bass and now the original stackpole pots have been professionally reinstalled to make the bass 100% complete. "The electric bass has allowed the evolution of many forms of music we have today." The P-bass case is the original white Fender hard case and has been professionally restored. Straight neck/great player as well as having one of the most rare Fender early finishes. A Rock Icon!
