Gorgeous 63 Parkie card of Toronto's Eddie Litzenberger, who broke in Montreal in 1953. He got into a total of 35 games with the Habs when in December of 1954 he was traded to Chicago for cash. Unfortunately for Eddie the Canadiens would go on to win five consecutive Stanley Cups to close out the decade. However with Chicago he found great success, winning Rookie of the Year and after three consecutive 30-goal seasons was named captain. On a team with HOFers like Mikita, Hull, Pilote and Hall, Litzenberger would captain them to a Stanley Cup championship in 1961, the team's s first since 1938. Chicago then traded him to Detroit before the next season and after only 32 games he was shipped off to the Maple Leafs mid-season. Unlike the timing of the trade to Chicago, fortune smiled on Eddie and he arrived in time to join Toronto's 3-year Stanley Cup run. He won four Stanley Cups in a row, before winning two more championships in the AHL, making an unprecedented run of 6 consecutive hockey championships. Behind every card there's a story...graded a beautiful 8 NM-MT by SGC with incredible color and gloss.
