<B>1962 50C Franklin Half--Struck on a Split Planchet Fragment--NGC.</B></I> 2.5 grams. Ungraded by NGC, but we believe it is Mint State. Apparently, the planchet fragmented after it was cut from stock, but before it was struck. Struck on a wafer-thin flan with one ragged edge. About 40% of the design is present, including the date and the top of the bell where the mint mark would have been, although none is present.
