1961 Roger Maris Sixty-First Home Run Ticket Stub. This 1.5x3" slab of paper represents one of the most inspiring moments in our National Pastime, as a quiet and humble midwestern boy secured his place in history during the game it recalls. The final match of a Yankee season that saw Maris excoriated by the press and booed by his own fans was attended by just over 23,000 fans, leaving the Bronx ballpark more than half empty for that heroic moment. As such, only a handful of tickets from the game exist today, and just a scant few could possibly match the NRMT condition of the offered specimen. Included in the lot is a fantastic 11x14" print capturing the moment of impact, with Maris' number "9" clearly visible in the batter's box and the sparsely populated outfield bleachers in the distance. Mat and frame them together for an impressive display.

Shipping: Flat Material, Large (view shipping information)
