The set contains five coins: a Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime, Washington quarter, and Franklin half dollar. Each coin is housed in its original flat-pack style polyethylene holder alongside the official U.S. Mint Philadelphia blue token. The cent is composed of 95% copper and 5% tin and zinc, while the nickel is made of a copper-nickel alloy. The dime, quarter, and half dollar are each struck in 90% silver and 10% copper. Accompanying the coin holder is the original orange U.S. Mint information insert, as well as the original yellow Treasury Department envelope marked 1961-P.C. on the front.
