<B>1961-63 Mickey Mantle Game Bat Signed to Barry Halper.</B></I> This marvelous keepsake was awarded to a lucky baseball card collector in 2000 after his name was drawn from a pool of thousands in the Upper Deck Collection Sweepstakes. The team-ordered lumber dates to one of the most exciting eras of the Mick's storied career, a history marked by the famous Bronx home run chase, three pennants and two World Championships. Though this signature model Hillerich & Bradsby K55 never got in on the action, it has still made something very special of its life, as a home for a blue sharpie inscription to collector extraordinaire Barry Halper. The 9/10 text reads, "To Barry, Thanks for Everything, Your Friend, Mickey Mantle, 2/5/88." Length and weight are thirty-five inches and thirty-two ounces respectively. We all know how tough and valuable Mantle signed bats are, with the vast majority of specimens merely modern replica models. Such a lengthy and desirable inscription from one celebrity to another, found upon a genuine vintage game model bat, sets this remarkable piece apart from (and above) the rest.
