<B>Early 1960's Sonny Liston Signed Autograph Card.</B></I> Few boxing experts gave young Cassius Clay much of a chance against the devastating punching power of this former Mafia enforcer, who had assumed the Heavyweight Championship from Floyd Patterson in September of 1962 with a brutal first round knockout. Questions still remain as to whether the second meeting of Ali and Liston was on the level, but you can bet that this extremely tough autograph is! The barely literate Liston was not an active signer, and his 10/10 blue ink signature on the 3.5x6" card offered here is one of the few available in the hobby. A single horizontal crease runs just above the autograph, but does not touch it. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA for protection and unquestioned authenticity.
