<B>(1960s) General Motors Roller Dies Cent, Pollock-4060, R.5, MS64 Red and Brown ANACS.</B></I> A bust left of Liberty graces the obverse, and a slender wreath provides the reverse motif. A control code (in this case, 22 M) is crudely entered by hand onto the field of the obverse working die, as usual for this scarce issue. Other legends are nonsense. Struck in copper with a plain edge. General Motors developed a high speed coinage press for the Mint, but the project was eventually abandoned. Close to full red, although minor carbon is present.
