1960s Dayton's Fashion Photos STYLISH SKIRTS & DRESSES
This is a lot of nine vintage 1960s original Carl Bakula photographs taken to promote Dayton's department store in Minnesota.

SIZE: Range from approx. 7" x 11" to approx. 8" x 20"; six are 11" x 14".

These photos are part of a large collection of Carl Bakula's Dayton's photos that we will be selling; they all are from the estate of Carl Bakula who was an Army recon photographer and then went on to win awards for his work in New York and Minneapolis. He was the photographer for Dayton's for many years and these photos appeared in their catalogs, on their billboards, and in other promotional material; they feature a myriad of things like fashion, beauty, furniture, clothing, etc., featuring men, ladies, and children. They are not reprints but photographs that were taken, developed, and printed in the 1960s and early 1970s. In his papers, Mr. Bakula says he used a medium format Hasselblad camera and printed from a 2 1/4" negative. If you like retro fashions from this era or the Mad Men look, you will really appreciate these images.

Excellent condition except for a few light dents, a little crinkling at the top of one, and a small tear at the bottom of another. Some have very light waviness along a couple of edges, but most of it would flatten out.
