<B>1960 Ty Cobb Single Signed Baseball.</B></I> The Peach's favored green ink registers an irrefutable 10/10 on this "Official Little League" ball autographed for an admirer just a year before Cobb's passing. While one must note the staining from an amateurishly applied coating of shellac over the inscription, it also must be lauded for so effectively maintaining the boldness of the writing. Penned on the forty-eighth anniversary of Cobb's scandalous assault upon a crippled heckler at New York City's Hilltop Park, the inscription reads, "To Mike Tompkins From Ty Cobb, 5/15/60." Certainly the most perfectly preserved Cobb autograph we've ever encountered upon a baseball. <I>LOA from PSA/DNA.
