<B>1960 1C Small Over Large Date PR68 Red NGC.</B></I> FS-024. The proof Lincoln cents of 1960 appear in three widely collected <I>Cherrypickers' Guide</B></I> varieties: Small Over Large Date; Large Over Small Date; and Large Over Large Over Small Date, the last a tripled-die obverse. Of those three, the Small Over Large Date proof is the rarest, and in great demand. PCGS has certified 11 pieces in PR68 Red, including two Cameo coins, while NGC has certified 19 PR68 Red coins, including six Cameo pieces, and one PR69 Red coin finer (4/07). The present PR68 Red example offers distraction-free, beaming orange-red surfaces with radiant luster. The smaller date digits are prominently lying atop the larger underdigits.
