<B>1960 1C Small Over Large Date PR67 Red PCGS.</B></I> FS-024. The discovery of 1960 and 1960-D Small Date and Large Date business-strike Lincoln cents spurred a speculative mania in rolls that had never truly subsided since the low-mintage 1950-D nickels were coined. "Roll fever" was further fueled by the introduction of the dealer-to-dealer Teletype system. The speculative roll mania collapsed in 1965.<BR> Of course, the proof Lincoln cent varieties were much slower in gaining recognition, but today they are many, many times rarer. The Small Over Large Date proofs, like the two known Large Over Small Date proof obverses, were the result of dual-hub errors. The present Small Over Large Date is likely the rarest of the three proof varieties, according to <I>Cherrypickers'.</B></I> The surfaces are impeccable, with lush orange coloration over each side.
