<B>1957 Jim Brown Rookie of the Year Trophy.</B></I> Widely considered the greatest running back in the history of the National Football League, former Syracuse Orangemen standout Jimmy Brown was the sixth overall draft pick for the 1957, leaving five teams to curse themselves for the foolishness of allowing the Browns to secure his services. Here we present what is arguably the most significant post-war football award to reach the auction block in recent memory, the trophy presented to Brown as the unanimous choice for 1957 Rookie of the Year. With 942 rushing yards, Brown led all NFL running backs in 1957, the first of eight years he would take that checkered flag during his nine-season career.
