1956 Democratic Convention Badge. A brass metal badge for an alternate to the 1956 Democratic National Convention that was held in Chicago. Manufactured by Bastian Bros. Co. of Rochester, New York. The convention nominated former Illinois Gov. Adlai Stevenson for president, and Estes Kefauver, Tennessee senator, for vice president. In a virtual replay of 1952, they were defeated by Dwight D.
