<B>1955 Cy Young Signed Government Postcard.</B></I> The man whose name will forever be synonymous with pitching excellence graciously answered a young autograph collector's request just weeks before his passing, applying an unimprovable blue ink signature to the boy's self addressed postcard. We aren't certain if the date penned at upper right is in Young's hand or not, but logic suggests that it is. Tape stains at each corner remain well clear of the all-important autograph, and the postcard is otherwise free of flaws. Postmarked from Young's hometown of Newcomerstown, Ohio, dated "Aug 19, 1955." <I>LOA from PSA/DNA.
