<B>1955 5C PR68 Deep Cameo PCGS.</B></I> Magnificent white-on-black contrast leaves no doubt concerning the Deep Cameo status of this impressive specimen. A hint of chestnut toning visits the portrait. Although current proof Jefferson nickels are invariably Deep Cameo, this was not the case for 1950s proofs. Generally, only the initial pieces struck from a pair of fresh dies displayed cameo contrast.
