A key HOFer from the rarest regular post-war hockey set. Quaker Oats "Green Backs" have been generating some high prices in the hobby over the past year. Parkhurst produced cards (limited distribution in Canada) for a promotion by Quaker Oats. The PSA database shows 8,959 regular 1955 Parkie cards graded, whereas the Quaker Oats total is a mere 2,271. By comparison the other post-war vintage scarcity, the 1966-67 Topps USA Test set, which was a very geographically limited, late season release, shows 3,808 cards in the PSA graded database. This card is one of only 51 (24 higher) "Green Back" Harvey's graded by PSA.

Doug Harvey simply does not get the respect he deserves in the hobby but the fact is he was the most dominant defenseman of his era. Tim Horton cards regularly sell for more than Harvey, and Horton never won a Norris Trophy. Harvey won 7 of the first 9 awarded. A solid addition to any collection, graded 5 EX by PSA.
