<B>1954 Topps Ted Williams #1 PSA NM-MT 8.</B></I> We've said it before and we'll say it again--collectors should always pay close attention to high grade Hall of Famer cards when they appear as the first or last in a set. Teddy Ballgame plays the role of both in the '54 Topps issue, and we present the former here, an example that was spared the wear typical of its brethren. Color, registration and centering is superb, with the lightest of touches to the upper right corner appearing to be all that spares a Mint 9 rating. Still, only five unqualified examples have ever graded higher.
